A Father's Love

A Dad whose love, knows no bounds
A Father who travels the world around
To be there for those special occasions

A Dad who always puts his kids
Above his own wants and bids
So they have the best life

A Dad who is a lot of fun
Always kicks the ball and has a run
Even if beaten by his fast sons!

A Dad who can turn his hand to anything
Fixing a chair, or brushing long hair

A Dad who knows, that what children need most is Love

Olympic Dream

The sky was full of traffic
And the clouds were scarce the day,
That Jim and John from Wollongong,
 headed far away.

Onto the plane wearing green and gold,
Farewells said to family.
They felt the mighty dream of London,
Pulling them away.

With their team they gave their all,
To represent their country.
Proud to compete against the world's best
And be a part of history.

They saw some sights and had some fights,
Explored the world together.
Shed some tears and shared some beers,
Bonding the mates forever

The Flood

A crack, a leak
Slowly trickling
Too much water
Slow, unstoppable
Washing away lives
Only destruction remains

Axolotl

I have a friend called Zottle
He likes to swim full throttle
Dart and Dash
Jump and Splash
I love my axolotl

The Gun

Metal parts
Take away life

Shattered hearts
Alone is the wife

Fear, Paranoia
Need a lawyer
Two lives wasted

Waking

Waking

The warm body next to me moves
A stretch
A sigh
Fight against consciousness
Roll over
Eyes flicker
What time is it?
